Data Journalism in a picture.

After reading the chapter I came to the conclusion that the data is at our fingertips. I can tweet something happening and journalist can easily search the key word on almost any topic. Lets say i’m complaining about “financial aid” and journalists can search the key word “financial aid” searching all the related tweets regarding to the subject. It’s that easy!

Business models are also building around data journalism because we as consumers and users want to see illustrations that contain information -especially if it regards to ourselves-. Maybe a map that indicates the concentration of people swiping a certain credit/debit card in areas of the city, state or nation. People are and have been catching on to how informative data can be and specially now that apps are using this tactic it will definitely be a top contender in the industry.
