For my project I decided to go with the Study that Cindy shared on Facebook, the Spotify and Echo Nest joint “Top 40 Musical Univerisities in America: How Students Listen”.
This study has various parts to it, so I chose to focus on the top four music genres that students listen to.
Instead of using 40 schools I chose three institutions located all around the country that I felt would represent the regions well: University of Texas, New York University and University of Washington.

I’m still having trouble with the percentages being represented by the bar lengths. I’m sure it’s something simple, but for example, what should be 60.4% on Pop music at the University of Texas is being represented as what I see as 100% of the bar.

The crisis has been adverted. Thanks to Jesse’s help the bars are now relative to the percentages!
