I just realized I never posted about my project idea……
I decided to create a quiz telling the user which downtown event they should attend. I intern for the Main Street Program here in San Marcos, so I figured I would use this assignment to help Main Street gain exposure for our events. This quiz is, of course, still a work in progress. When I make this quiz a little more aesthetically pleasing, I’m going to incorporate it into Main Street’s blog and social media pages. I do think this interactive quiz will help citizens get excited about our events.
The answer choices for the questions are presented to users in the form of radio buttons. Each answer choice is assigned a number in the code. The algorithm in the code will then take the submitted answers, encode them into their assigned numbers, then add those numbers together. The sum of those submitted answers, will then pull an answer up.
The inspiration for the quiz I’m creating is from Forbes’ “Top College Quiz”
