A tough project this one was, not doubt that, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t glad this phase of it is done.
This website is the digital version of my thesis on the branding identity of pop music and celebrity in South Korea. All the data sets that were used were collected organically by either focus group or survey. The survey data was cross-tabulated and looked at for relationships on respondents’ attitudes and feelings shown in their purchase behavior and general beliefs about foreign music and artists. I am extremely proud of this research and consider it a milestone and gateway to even more projects about music, branding , data and Asia.
The scripts were quite painful at times, so I must say please read everything. Make sure all the semicolons and commas are in their proper places. Also, the background is very light. It is an abstract wave meant for texture, and it can be seen on laptops and desktops. I’ll definitely be working on that one! The charts make the data look very sleek though. To me, this is a living work, so it will change as I figure out how to add more animations and visuals. I also intend to use to expand on the original research.
