My final project is going to be over the lack of diversity and intersectionality in Austin’s music field, not so much covering a specific disparity as touching upon each type highlighted in the Music Census. I intend to use the Austin Music Census as my primary source of data, but I will supplement it with data gathered from around the web, particularly articles and data related to social inequality, and I hope to provide an analysis of what causes the disparity between the members of the music field and the general population.
