I found data on data.austintexas.gov about restaurant inspection scores for Austin. There was a lot of data in this file! It had what must be every place that serves food in Austin and inspections scores going back four years. It was a little overwhelming. The first thing I did was filtered the data to just include scores from the latest inspections (from September) and sorted it from lowest to highest.
Still feeling overwhelmed by so much data, I filtered it to just show one of my favorite restaurants, Asiana. Fortunately their scores are not bad. If you are feeling brave look up the score for one of your favorite spots.
From here I made a simple bar chart of the data.
