When we started talking about this project in class and were given some examples, an idea came to my head instantly: “What Wu-Tang member are you?” Of course, I knew that this probably already has been done and I didn’t really want to check because I kind of wanted to be ignorant to the fact. I ended up Googling it anyway and of course Buzzfeed did one. I skimmed through it because I didn’t want to see too much. I’m still planning on doing it and I didn’t want to look at Buzzfeed’s too much because I knew mine would end up looking too similar.
What I did pay attention to is what kind of questions Buzzfeed’s asked. That is where I think mine will differ. I want to ask more personal questions (not too personal of course). For example: What is you ideal night out? I may just end up doing “What hip hop artist are you?” but I think that is too broad and Wu-Tang would be so much more fun. I’m only going to use 6 of the original members.
As for the coding, the quiz will consist of questions with radio button answers. I’m thinking I can assign numbers to the answers and I can assign each Wu-Tang member to a total. I can take all of numbers from the corresponding answers and add them up and thus reveal what Wu-tang member the user is. Of course, I will style the quiz with Wu related pictures and a nice picture of whatever Wu member the user get. I’m super excited about this project and I’m going to try my best to make it come out like I vision it!
